Annual Museum Talk – Hear VT Geosciences faculty give public lectures on their research.
Fossil Unwrapping Party – A fun family event for the public to learn about fossils while helping paleontologists Drs. Michelle Stocker and Sterling Nesbitt unwrap Triassic fossils from Arizona and Texas collected during their summer fieldwork.
Museum Community Science Night – We invite the public to participate in community science by helping us inventory our collections and taking a sneak peek at the collections outside our exhibits.
Science Festival – In collaboration with the Moss Arts Center, our “Magic Minerals” station allows visitors to learn about fluorescent minerals and other fantastic mineral properties. Visitors can even hold a meteorite!
Scientific Illustration Night – Visitors learn about the importance of scientific illustration while learning how to sketch natural history specimens, including minerals, plants, and insects.
